Athens- Mycenae -Nemea                                               Duration: ~ 1.5 hours| distance covered: ~120 km

After taking a scenic drive along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, we will have a short stop at Corinth canal, before continuing to the ancient city of Mycenae, home of the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Right in the middle of a dream-like but nevertheless wild landscape, which softens as we heads down south towards the Argolic bay, reigns the mythical Mycenean Acropolis which has the absolute control over the valley of Argos.

The Ionic hillock of Mycenae, with the deep, abrupt and steep gorges that surround it, enchants the visitors with its dominating character. The scenery, with its huge cliffs and rocks designed by the masterful hand of nature, seems as the most appropriate setting for the unraveling of the tragic family of Atreus. We visit the tomb of Agamemnon, the Palace and the Lionesses Gate.

Mycenae – Wine Tasting Vineyard                                        Duration: ~ 20min| distance covered: ~25 km

The Peloponnese-rich in ancient ruins from its glorious past– has been cultivated with vineyards for many a century. The north-east –home to Mycenae and Epidaurus– is blessed vineyard territory. Indigenous grape varieties in Nemea, Argolida, Arcadia and Mantinia include Roditis and Moscofilero (white varieties) and Saint George (aka Aghiorghitiko, red variety). Cosmopolitan varieties –Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot– are also cultivated and display strong terroir.

Arriving at the Vineyard, you will learn everything there is to know about the production of Greek quality red wine before proceeding underground to the cellars containting more than 1,000 French oak barriques. The Greek owner of the winery will give us a warm welcome, and the English speaking and well trained staff will show us around the vineyards and wineries. You can enjoy walks around while you soak up the local flavor and culture of Greek wines.

Vineyard – Epidaurus                                                           Duration: ~ 1 hour | distance covered: ~50 km

The world heritage listed city is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. We visit Asklipio of Epidauros, the birthplace of medicine, which was practiced as power and was given to humans as knowledge of God.

Epidaurus - Nauplio                                                                   Duration: ~ 40min | distance covered: ~30 km

With its breathtaking views of Akronauplia, Nauplio will be our last stop before we return back to Athens. The old city with its numerous tile-roofs interrupted here and there by perennial trees' tops, the churches' belfries with the unique Bourdzi standing like a stationary ship amidst the waters of the serene harbor.

Full of fig trees hanging from the rocks- the stunningly beautiful view of the Nauplio Gulf and the beach of Arvanitia, hides under the dominant presence of Palamidi. We will enjoy a leisurely walk in the cobblestone paths of Nafplion, and have a nice dinner near the sea at Greek Taverna*. (option)

Nauplio – Athens                                                                    Duration: ~ 2 hours | distance covered: ~140 km

We leave Nauplio late in the afternoon heading to Athens and return to the departure point around 21:00-22:00
